Delhi Public School Kathua Hosts Specialized NCC Training Session to Foster Leadership and Discipline

Delhi Public School (DPS) Kathua organized a comprehensive special training programme today for its National Cadet Corps (NCC) wing, aimed at honing the technical skills and leadership qualities of its young cadets today.
The session was led by expert NCC instructors, Subedar Satvinder and Havaldar Achal Singh, who visited the campus to provide hands-on mentorship. The training curriculum focused on three core pillars of military discipline:
• Map Reading: Navigational techniques and spatial awareness.
• Weaponry: Safe and precise handling of the .22 rifle.
• Drill: Precision movements and team synchronization.
The cadets demonstrated exceptional discipline and enthusiasm, engaging deeply with the rigorous practical sessions.
Principal Mr. Vivek Arora lauded the cadets for their dedication, stating, “These training programmes are instrumental in building a student’s character. Beyond the technical skills, the sense of responsibility and leadership they learn today will serve them for a lifetime.” He also extended his sincere gratitude to the visiting instructors for their professional guidance.
Reiterating the school’s vision, the Management of DPS Kathua affirmed its commitment to making such specialized training a regular feature of the school’s extracurricular calendar, ensuring students are well-prepared for future service and civic leadership.
